An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ancora House.
We are looking for someone who wishes to utilise their skills within OT, demonstrating skills in assessment and interventions, in a supportive team environment. Our team consists of qualified OT staff and Technical Instructors. We work within a large MDT consisting of nursing staff, medical staff, psychology , speech and language therapy, specialist eating disorder service and educational staff.
Planned shortlist date is 22/12/25 and planned interview date is 09/01/26.
Ancora House has 2 inpatient GAU wards, Coral and Indigo and a future Integrated Eating Disorder Unit. They provide person centred acute care for young people aged 13-18. Both Coral and Indigo Ward focus on assessment and short-term treatment. This position will allow you to develop a range of knowledge and skills of various mental health conditions such as; eating disorders, anxiety, psychosis, depression - to name a few!
This role requires being professionally responsible for developing the Occupational Therapy provision to the Tier 4 service (Cheshire and Merseyside) and ensuring it is needs led, evidence based and in line with current legislation, values, and service principles.
The post holder will have the unique opportunity to develop both their assessment and intervention skills. The OT service within Ancora House follows the full OT pathway, from assessment to intervention and outcome measures. Opportunities to access a range of training across conditions and models of practice (MOHO).
The post offers the successful applicant the exciting opportunity to join this team in providing the highest quality of care for our service users. The individual must also be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 C’s in practice, these being Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage and Commitment.
