The post holder will provide professional leadership and management within the CT team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, safe and compassionate healthcare.

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large acute Foundation Trust, renowned for providing a wide range of imaging services to a population of approximately one million people. To meet the needs of this population, we have opened a new Community Diagnostic Centre, enabling us to respond to the ever‑growing demand for imaging services and further improve the environment for patient care, diagnosis and treatment.

The Trust is the Head of the Clinical Research Network for the Eastern Region and is home to one of the three national Radiology Academies.

In line with the Trust’s PRIDE values, we are seeking a highly motivated radiographer to join our dynamic and friendly CT team. You will play a key leadership role in supporting the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging, ensuring clinical safety and maintaining excellent standards of patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for a flexible and enthusiastic radiographer to join our friendly team, working a four-day week to support the leadership, management and ongoing development of the CT service.

Main duties of the job

The Computed Tomography (CT) Department operates five scanners at the main hospital site, including a Siemens Somatom Drive (dual source), Edge+, two Siemens X.cite scanners and a GE Optima 660. The Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) houses four Canon CT scanners: one Aquilion ONE PRISM and three Aquilion Prime SP scanners, providing high‑quality imaging services closer to the community.

As a Band 7 Deputy Lead CT Radiographer, you will work within the CT leadership team to support the operational management, development and delivery of a high-quality, patient-centred imaging service. You will play a key role in workforce leadership, including staff supervision, rota coordination and performance management, while promoting a positive team culture aligned with Trust PRIDE values.
