Applications are invited to join our team at NHS Grampian Sexual Health (GSH) as a substantive Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. This post is offered at 32 hours per week.

GSH is an integrated Sexual Health service hosted by the Aberdeen Health and Social Care Partnership to provide Sexual and Reproductive Health Services including abortion care across Grampian (Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray). This is a busy integrated service with around 50,000 clinical contacts per year. The main site is based within the Aberdeen Community Health and Care Village, Frederick Street in the centre of Aberdeen. The service offers a comprehensive range of care including sexual & reproductive healthcare, abortion care, community gynaecology, psychosexual medicine, genitourinary medicine and HIV care in addition to specialist services for young people and gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM). Complimentary to the main central site there are a number of clinics delivered across Grampian including Elgin, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, and His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) and Young Offenders Institute (YOI) Grampian.

This is an incredibly dynamic time within the service due to ongoing quality improvement and research in abortion care and contraception delivery across settings. There are opportunities for the successful candidate to be involved in ongoing service development, partnership working and research.
