Priory Hospital Mill Garth is looking for a consultant psychologist to join the team of a 19 bed high dependency recovery and rehabilitation hospital.
Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Mill Garth is a level 2 rehabilitation service for adult males. We support people with a range of mental health disorders.
Main duties of the job
The Consultant Psychologist will work closely with the Head of Psychology in delivering the strategic direction of the service to the hospital director/director of services/medical director. The Consultant Psychologist will ensure both the professional psychological practice and quality of the psychology department, to ensure excellence in patient experience and outcomes. You will contribute to the development of audit of services at your site and more broadly when required and asked by your Head of Psychology. To support the development and delivery of behavioural and other psychological interventions for patients and service users and provide appropriately developed psychologically informed guidance to reduce risks, aid recovery and independence. You will provide consultation to the Head of Psychology and Senior Managers as required and will be work within clinical and research governance initiatives.

Qualifications
Essential
- This role requires a minimum of a relevant Masters degree, HCPC registration, a recognized post-graduate qualification, and accreditation from a relevant professional institution such as BABCP, BCP, BPS, or an equivalent body. Candidates should have prior experience and practical exposure within the field of psychology
Desirable
- DBT training and experience in HR20 report writing would be advantageous.
