Job overview

This is a substantive consultant role within the Croydon Recovery & Rehabilitation Team within South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The service provides intensive community-based rehabilitation, care and support for people, aged 18-65 years (and aged over 65 if they have been treated by a Croydon Adult Mental Health Service). Patients have severe and enduring mental illnesses and should be living in the London Borough of Croydon in a 24-hour supported placement such as Supported Housing, Supported Living, Residential Care Home or Nursing Home. It is a part-time role with 5 programmed activities: 3.5 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1.5 Supporting Programmed Activities (SPA) sessions (increasing to 2 SPAs for an academic affiliate program).

Main duties of the job

In collaboration with senior colleagues, the post-holder is expected to provide clinical, operational and strategic leadership to R & R. As part of the leadership team, the post-holder is expected to work proactively with managers and clinical staff to ensure that a high-quality service is provided to all patients.
