We are delighted to offer the opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team for Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
We are looking for someone who will play a key role in the multi-disciplinary team, supporting the management of people with complex needs, through the provision of clinical leadership and advice and support.
The people in our care, families and carers are at the centre of all aspects of all we do.
Main duties of the job
The post is for a Consultant Psychiatrist. CRHT provides assessment and treatment to adults aged between 18-75 years suffering from severe mental disorders. The service offers comprehensive assessment (including risk assessment) and a thorough review of treatments, starting new treatments or modifying existing treatments, and brief interventions. Working closely with patients, families, significant others, and services involved in the provision of care. The approach is collaborative and structured towards assisting patients in recovering from illnesses. The inpatient units work very closely with the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team, Community Mental Health Teams, Housing, Social Services, and Police to ensure adequate throughput of patients.
The Crisis and Home Treatment Team is based at Northgate Hospital.
