As only the second private CAMHS service within Priory, you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in developing the service from the ground up, with genuine influence over its clinical pathways, culture and future direction.Why Priory Hospital Chelmsford?This is an opportunity to join Priory at a genuinely exciting stage in the development of our CAMHS services.If you are looking for a Consultant CAMHS role where your clinical expertise, leadership and ideas can directly influence the development of a brand-new service, we would love to hear from you.A well-resourced clinical environmentPriory Hospital Chelmsford is a long-established private hospital set within three acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. The hospital currently provides 56 beds across its existing acute and addiction pathways, with this new CAMHS service representing an exciting expansion of our specialist provision. You will work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supported by established clinical governance and senior leadership structures, with access to the resources required to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. The service will also benefit from onsite educational provision and schooling, helping to support the wider educational and developmental needs of young people during their inpatient journey.Supporting children and young people is a key area of growth for Priory, and the organisation has invested heavily in developing a new private inpatient provision at Roehampton and Chelmsford, supporting children and young people in medically led therapeutic stabilisation programmes, which also enables education to continue.

What you'll be doing

  • Shape a new CAMHS service from the ground up.
  • Influence clinical pathways, models of care and service development.
  • Help establish a positive, recovery-focused culture for young people and their families.
  • Lead and develop a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute your ideas and expertise to the future direction of the service.
  • Make a lasting contribution to the development of Priory’s CAMHS provision.
  • Leading patient care planning and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Assessing and managing complex CAMHS presentations.
  • Chairing MDT and CPA meetings.
  • Liaising closely with young people, families and external stakeholders.
  • Providing clinical leadership alongside the Ward Manager.
  • Supporting the development of effective patient pathways and models of care.
  • Contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.
  • Promoting high standards of clinical care, patient safety and positive outcomes.
