We are looking for a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic, supportive and driven Paediatric team who are committed to delivering the best care for our patients. We would like to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for a post of Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Oncology.
The successful candidate will join a team of paediatricians and neonatologists providing Child Health services to our local population of approximately 300,000 children. The Trust is a designated POSCU level 1 centre (Enhanced Level A for Autumn 2026) with over 35 new cancer patients every year.
The consultant medical team works across both of our hot sites, Queen's Hospital, Romford, and King George Hospital, Ilford, and supports junior medical staff to deliver care to patients in all our patient settings.

The successful applicant will work as an acute general paediatrician and along with colleagues the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe and effective care to the CYP attending the child health services.
You will supervise and clinically manage children being cared for in the short stay facilities, attending for procedures and chemotherapy, as well as children recently seen on the unit who require rapid follow up. Responsibility for rapid access clinics for suspected malignancy will be shared and close working with the named doctor, named nurse and other members of the safeguarding team will be required to ensure that the Trust meets its responsibilities in safeguarding children.
