Main duties of the job

CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLE

Provide tertiary-level paediatric imaging services including neuroimaging across all imaging modalities.

Contribute to CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and general Xray reporting within the paediatric imaging department.

Participate in the on-call rota supporting acute and emergency imaging services.

Job responsibilities

job Description

Doctors Direct, part of NHS Professionals, is recruiting two Paediatric Radiology Consultants to support East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust on a six month placement, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will help deliver highquality paediatric radiology services across a busy and supportive NHS Trust, contributing to safe, effective and patientcentred care. Youll work closely with consultant colleagues and wider teams to provide expert clinical input, supervise junior doctors and support service development.

  • Provide tertiary-level paediatric imaging services including neuroimaging across all imaging modalities.
  • Contribute to CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and general X-ray reporting within the paediatric imaging department.
  • Participate in the on-call rota supporting acute and emergency imaging services

Working patterns available

  • 9am to 5pm
  • 9am to 9am (unsocial hours option)

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality paediatric radiology services
  • Provide clinical leadership within the specialty
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff
  • Contribute to clinical governance, audit and M&M meetings
  • Support teaching, CPD and research activity
  • Take part in service development and Care Group planning

Essential criteria

  • GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • FRCR qualification
  • Minimum six months NHS experience as a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
  • Three years of NHS references

  • Anyone with an interest in paediatric neuroradiology, MSK imaging, cross-sectional reporting or paediatric interventional procedures should apply.
