Guildford, Surrey | Full-Time |Consultant Mammographer Shape the Future of Breast Imaging Every day, you'll play a vital role in helping detect breast cancer early and improving outcomes for thousands of women across Surrey and North East Hampshire. What You'll Be Doing You will join the team in a very senior capacity covering all four pillars of advanced radiographic practice: Clinical skills will be harnessed in the direct care of women screened and assessed by the SNEH BSS. You will work as an autonomous member of the clinical team alongside and in partnership with radiologists and other advanced practitioner radiographers of different levels. Leadership & Management will build through teamworking and focused mentoring of junior clinical colleagues. The nature of a modern breast screening service inherently includes the need for leadership and management of various groups in the team. For example, Consultant Mammographers are perfectly placed to lead other advanced practitioner radiographers and manage critical aspects of the delivery of the service. Education and Research is led by our training centre team of educators and researchers. There will be full expectation Consultant Mammographers in the service will develop other members of the team, teach on our courses and be actively involved in our research activities. Funding for research activities will include provision to support conference presentations.
Main duties of the job
What you will be responsible for: Providing high-quality evidence-based patient focused breast screening. Support the Director ad Deputy Director of screening within the senior leadership of the service Attend meetings/study days in the absence of the director of screening Support the management if the service KPIs in conjunction with the senior leadership teams Attend SMT meetings in the absence of clinical leadership Support the operational management of the clinical department Competent practice in all areas underpinning the Consultant Mammographer role. Building the QMS framework for the clinical function of the service Energetically working across the pillars of advanced radiographic practice to the levels expected of a Consultant Mammographer. Contributing to meeting the demands of the service, including active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.

What We're Looking For
- Have a BSc in Radiography or equivalent.
- Have current HCPC registration.
- Have a Certificate of Competence in Mammography.
- Post Graduate award in Mammography at master's level
- Advanced Principles and Practice Breast Interventional Techniques
- Ultrasound of the Breast
- Interpretation and Reporting in Mammography
- Clinical Breast Examination and Client Communication
- Advance Communications course
- Research and Evidence-Based Practice
