Job overview
This appointment is for a 10 PA Consultant post in the Heeley and Gleadless Neighbourhood CMHT (Community Mental Health Team). Candidates hoping to work part time or flexibly are also welcome. The post has come about as a result of SHSC being successful in delivering one of 6 national pilot sites for NHS England, which is in line with the current policy around neighbourhood services and Darzi principles and is likely to form the basis of how the Trust configures its services in the future. It is a partnership between a forward looking and mature Primary Care Network (Heeley Plus) and a well-established and ambitious VCSE Heeley Development Trust. The service, which is being set up through a transformation programme approach, will offer an integrated approach to mental health alongside primary mental health services, a wide range of VCSE provision and traditional secondary mental health services to manage patients with Severe Mental Illness and those in Crisis close to home, communities and family with the support of VCSE provided “hospitality beds” for those in crisis on site. It is an exciting time to join this team, with a range of local, ICS and national support mechanisms in place to support and evaluate this new way of delivering mental health services in a partnership manner.
This post is permanent.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be based at Newfield Green Clinic. The postholder will have office accommodation, with IT support for e-mail, internet access and secretarial support. The post holder will be issued with all required IT equipment including a laptop and mobile phone.
