Applications are invited for the above post working in the University Hospitals of North Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity to join the established consultant and multidisciplinary team to provide Specialist Palliative care services to the populations of Staffordshire and Cheshire. This is a 10 PA post which includes an on-call commitment attracting category B availability supplement. Applications would be considered for less than full time working or job share.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join an existing dynamic team of 4 consultants working in the Staffordshire area to expand the Specialist Palliative Care services provided in the University Hospitals of North Midlands. The successful candidate will be a core member of the Hospital Palliative Care Team working in both hospital sites providing specialist palliative advice, outpatient services and inpatient care for our 10 palliative medicine beds. The successful candidate will also work closely with local hospices and community services. The successful candidate will act take a lead role in undergraduate Palliative Care education at the Keele University's School of Medicine and will contribute to the development and provision of the Palliative Care curriculum.
