NHS Grampian is looking to attract two full time Oral-Maxillofacial Consultants with an interest in Head and Neck Oncology / Reconstructive surgery to join the established department based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI). These are full time, permanent posts working 40 hours per week.
Applicants should have a wide knowledge of and experience in all major branches of the specialty and will be expected to play a key role in the further development of the Head and Neck Oncology service and work in a team approach and in close collaboration with other specialties to provide comprehensive service within a multidisciplinary environment.
Applicants are required to be fully registered with a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post). For more information visit www.gmc-uk.org.
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR). Applicants should also be fully registered with the General Dental Council.

- Successful completion of an SAC approved 5 year minimum training programme in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, or within 6 months of completion
- Applicants who are Nationals from other European countries or elsewhere overseas would have to show equivalence to the 5 year training period in the National Health Service required for the specialty
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
- Special interest in head and neck oncology, resection and reconstruction.

- Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems, relating to the face, mouth and jaws.
