Job summary
We are now seeking to recruit Consultant Psychiatrists to join our CAMHS Outpatient team Community mental health services on a full time or part time basis. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to work in partnership at both strategic and operational levels with relevant and external stakeholders. The post holder will need to ensure that people who use services, carers and advocates are treated with respect and dignity Provide excellent clinical leadership and actively develop your team along with expert advice to our hospital and community specialists, managers and directors on what is needed to deliver excellent care and future strategic directions. The Consultant has a continuing responsibility for the care of patients and for the proper functioning of the department. The consultant will liaise with the General Practitioners, hospital and community specialists and other agencies wherever relevant. A specimen timetable illustrating how the consultant timetable may be arranged within the current framework can be found in the attached job description. You will engage with the development of your Job Plan.

Applications are invited from registered medical practitioners, who have or are eligible for, a CCT or an equivalent approved indicator of training and eligible for entry onto the Specialist Register within six months of the interview date.

Qualifications
Essential
- Qualifications:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- MRC Psych or equivalent
- Eligibility:
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or equivalent within 6 months of the interview date (CCT/Portfolio pathway) Subspecialty Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
Desirable
- Qualifications:
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
- Additional clinical qualifications
- Eligibility:
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
