This is an exciting opportunity in a newly established Consultant Psychologist / CBT therapist post within the Link-ED team.

Link-ED is an established eating disorder service operating across West Yorkshire, working directly with Community Mental Health Teams, providing consultation, care and treatment to adults with an eating disorder. In conjunction with the CONNECT eating disorder service, our vision is to establish a stepped care model of treatment across West Yorkshire.

This role will be a key enabler in the development of a stepped care approach to psychological therapy for adults with an eating disorder. It supports the NHS 10 Year Health Plan strategy of shifting the health service from treating sickness to prioritising early intervention and prevention; focusing on treating eating disorders earlier, to avoid severe and/or chronic illness.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to work across West Yorkshire to provide:

• Strategic, professional and clinical leadership for the Link-ED service.
• Ensure robust clinical governance arrangements are in place for future delivery of psychological therapies and Psychological interventions.
• Work closely with clinical, operational and professional leaders to ensure services are delivered in line with Trust policies, governance frameworks and national guidance.
• Contribute to the development of the Link-ED clinical model and service specification
• A psychological perspective on service priorities, and system-wide developments.
• Support workforce development and capacity building by setting up supervisory structures to provide specialist clinical supervision (including CBT ED) within Link-ED, and where appropriate and agreed, across the wider system. Working alongside West Yorkshire Psychological Professions Workforce Lead on workforce expansion in line with national priorities to improve access to evidence-based psychological therapies for eating disorders.
• Maintain a small specialist clinical caseload, providing assessment, formulation and psychological interventions for individuals with eating disorders, alongside support for families and carers.
