An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Staff Nurse to join the West Berkshire Community Nursing Team. Community services are caring for increasingly complex and acute patients, delivering specialist treatments and high-quality care within patients’ own homes.
As part of our dedicated team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with a wide range of health needs, promoting independence and delivering holistic, patient-centred care. Key areas of practice include complex wound care, bladder and bowel management, medication administration, palliative and end-of-life care.
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. A passion for delivering outstanding care in the community setting is essential.
The service operates 7 days a week, 08:30–19:00, including Bank Holidays, therefore flexibility across service hours is required. Our team has a diverse skill mix ranging from Band 3 Healthcare Assistants to Band 7 Community Matrons, providing excellent support, learning, and development opportunities.
This is a rewarding role for a nurse who is enthusiastic about community care and committed to making a real difference to patients in their own homes.
