The role:
You will be an experienced NMC‑registered Nurse (Part 1), ideally with experience in childhood immunisations, an interest in Public Health, and a strong commitment to patient‑centred care. You’ll join a small, mixed‑skill team delivering immunisation services within the community, with most of your work taking place in community‑based clinics.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Key responsibilities:
Deliver pre‑school immunisations to babies and young children.
Occasionally, provide immunisations to children up to age 18.
Work collaboratively within a small, multidisciplinary team.
Maintain high standards of patient‑centred care in all interactions.
Report, investigate, and learn from incidents (Datix) to reduce recurrence.
Gather and report data on immunisation outcomes and service provision.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
Must be an NMC‑registered Nurse (Part 1).
Experience in immunising children is desirable, but full training will be provided.
An interest in Public Health is beneficial.
Evidence of continuing professional development
Leadership and problem-solving skills
Awareness of National Policy and legislation
Understanding of the NMC Code of Practice
