An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Community Public Health Assistant 5-19, to join the Basingstoke Community Public Health Nursing 5-19 Team (formally known as School Nursing) , on a Term Time only Contract of between 22.5 hours per week based at Parklands House in Basingstoke.You will be joining a leading organisation that is both forward thinking and innovative. Main duties of the job
We are looking for motivated individuals with good knowledge and experience of working with children, young people and families. You should have the ability to work within a skill mixed team to deliver allocated components of the Healthy Child Programme.Working as a team player under the delegation of the Community Public Health Nurse 5-19 your role will require you to work in partnership with schools, to promote and enhance the health and well-being of children and families. With a positive approach to customer care you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, including an ability to relate well with children and young people. It will also be essential for the applicant to be able to prioritise their workload and manage time effectively.Applicants must have excellent IT skills as this role will include the recording of clinical data on the electronic record system. A full driving licence, access to a car and insurance for business use
