Job overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 6 CPN to join our Locality Mental Health Team supporting the North area of Lincoln.

We are looking for a highly motivated RMN who is keen to join a supportive and recovery focussed service, working with service users experiencing severe and enduring mental ill health.

The post holder will be working within a friendly and supportive Multi-Disciplinary Team which includes Community Mental Health Nurses, Recovery Practitioners, Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners, Psychological Intervention Facilitators, Nursing Associates, Community Support Workers, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Admin staff. You will also be working alongside Neighbourhood Teams, Integrated Placement Based Teams, Adult Social Care, GP surgeries and other partner organisations to ensure the best outcomes for patients and carers.

The candidate will be committed to a Recovery focused way of working, inherent within the team culture, empowering and instilling hope to our service users.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be providing high quality person-centred care to patients, families and carers. You will act as Lead Healthcare Professional, undertaking comprehensive evidence-based assessments and have a sound knowledge of Psycho-social interventions, supporting service users to work towards recovery goals, build self-resilience and promote independent living.

The successful applicant will require enthusiasm for service development within a complex and changing service and therefore excellent communication and leadership skills are required.

The applicant must have a flexible and 'can do' approach, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes, often at short notice. A positive attitude is essential for effective team work and management of the challenges and complexities within our work.

The successful applicant will be offered robust clinical and managerial supervision on a regular basis in order that they may complete their role to the best of their ability and with sound knowledge and confidence. Additional training courses are available and you will be encouraged to participate to continue with your own Professional Development and to keep up-to-date with the most recent evidence-based practice.

The post holder will also need to have the ability to travel independently in the community to deliver services, with a hybrid approach to working.
