Are you passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care within rural communities? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Team within the North & West Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Team.

This rewarding role involves providing assessment, care planning, implementation and review for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, primarily across West Sutherland. You will act as a Care Co-ordinator where appropriate, supporting recovery-focused, person-centred care in patients’ homes and community settings.

The post requires a broad range of clinical and therapeutic skills, including complex assessment, risk management and collaborative working. You must be confident working autonomously in a community setting while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Base: Melvich (with substantial travel across North Sutherland)Hours: Can be discussed

A full driving licence is essential. A pool car may be available; however, applicants must have access to their own vehicle for work purposes if required.

Applicants must hold current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health).

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
