Job overview
We require a motivated and dedicated nurse to work within the integrated Palliative Care Team in Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity within the team to develop your knowledge and skills in specialist palliative care and be part of providing and influencing the delivery of excellent palliative and end of life care for all.
This post is a part time post of 30 hours and is based in our community palliative care team. There may be potential for contract to be extended if funding becomes available.
The post holder's primary role will be to provide direct advanced specialist nursing assessment, support and expert advice to patients dealing with complex, distressing and life limiting illness and those important to them in the setting agreed.

The post holder’s primary role will be to provide specialist nursing assessment and management advice for patients dealing with life limiting illness and complex needs in the community setting. We are seeking applicants that can demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a passion for delivering the highest quality holistic end of life care to patients and families.
This role will also require participation and contribution to agreed education provision and key service improvements within the specialist palliative care service and across end of life across the locality as agreed.
