An opportunity has arisen within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to appoint a Community Nursery Nurse to join our Health Visiting Team. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to improving the quality of child health services across Hampshire and takes pride in rewarding the success of its staff.

This role will be 35 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated professional with excellent communication skills who has the ability to work independently and as part of a corporate skill mixed team delivering the Healthy Child Programme using a public health approach, which may include leading group work with children and families.

As a team player, you will work under the leadership and supervision of the Health Visitors. You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all aspects of safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines and policies.

We are well known for our creative approach in supporting our communities, children and families with great innovations including ChatHealth, our Text Messaging Advice Service; the Parent Portal, an interactive web-based information hub for parents, and our partnership with Barnardo's which offers community-based public health programmes. We are proud of having achieved BFI accreditation at gold standard.

Access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving licence is essential.
