An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and NMC Registered Midwife to join the Badenoch & Strathspey Community Midwifery Team, NHS Highland.

The team is based in Aviemore, within the Cairngorm National Park, and provides community midwifery care across the Badenoch & Strathspey area, including clinics in Aviemore, Kingussie and Grantown‑on‑Spey. The team provides caseload care for approximately 115 women per year, delivering high‑quality, woman‑centred care within both clinic and home settings.

The post holder will undertake a range of duties including running satellite clinics and providing antenatal and postnatal care in the community. There may be occasions where the post holder is required to work flexibly across other Inner Moray Firth community midwifery teams, in line with service needs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A commitment to providing safe, high‑quality, woman‑centred care

Previous community midwifery experience is desirable but not essential. This post is suitable for Band 6 midwives.

The service operates on a 7‑day basis, and the post includes an on‑call commitment for the provision of Home Birth and Domino services within the Inner Moray Firth community midwifery teams.

A full, current UK driving licence and use of own car are essential for this role.
