KM253233 - Community Mental Health Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse to join our Moray West integrated community mental health team based at Pluscarden Clinic, Elgin.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with adults experiencing both severe and enduring mental health problems as part of a multi-disciplinary team, participate in the service duty rota and will provide both the practice supervisor and practice assessor role for our nursing students on placement

The post holder will be highly skilled and confident in the delivery of evidence based recovery-based person centred care, be able to deliver skills training, have the ability to autonomously manage their workload safely and effectively, demonstrate enhanced skills such as clinical risk assessment/management and positive risk taking and possess the requirements to meet the needs of nursing students on placementThe successful candidate will be a registered mental health nurse with a current valid registration with the NMC.

Experience in community mental health team is preferred but consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate they have the transferrable skills and experience to work autonomously. This is a permanent full-time post, working 36 hours per week over five week days

There maybe the need for the candidate to participate in patient transfers to Aberdeen or Inverness and on occasions, provide cover to our acute in-patient ward/home treatment function during the working day

A current UK driving licence with appropriate insurance is essential for this post as well as use of a car for work purposes.
