Position:

An opportunity has arisen for a Community Charge Nurse to work within District Nursing Team 9 Prestwick/Troon/Dundonald, covering Troon/Dundonald. You will be responsible for the management of the caseload in the absence of the Clinical Team Leader, including the supervision and redeployment of staff.

Hours:

36 hours per week.

From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

UK Driving Licence:

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What you will do:

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:

A professional qualification of RGN and educated to degree level is essential. You should have a District Nurse post graduate or equivalent SPQ qualification or be willing to undertake relevant post graduate district nursing education.

The post holder will be expected to work a rostered shift pattern weekdays with a weekend working commitment. Car driver is essential.
