An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team at Kettering General Hospital.
The post holder will undertake a leadership role within the team, with direct line management responsibility for Band 6 CNS staff, patient support workers and administrative staff, while also working as an autonomous practitioner.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Colorectal Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), providing specialist advice, support and education to patients and their families, as well as to healthcare professionals across the wider service.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will join an established and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist team to provide expert clinical care and holistic support to patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
- We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated nurse who is able to work autonomously and effectively under pressure within this busy specialty. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Significant experience in the care and management of patients with colorectal cancer is essential for this role.
- The post holder will work as part of a dynamic and cohesive multidisciplinary colorectal team, committed to delivering a high-quality, patient-centred service.
