We are seeking a skilled Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist) to join the Highland Eating Disorder Service on a full-time basis (36 hours per week). This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a specialist, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals experiencing eating disorders across the Highland region.
You will play a key role in delivering specialist psychological assessment and CBT-based interventions, supporting recovery and improving outcomes for patients with complex needs.
The Role
As a Band 7 CBT Therapist, you will:
- Provide specialist CBT interventions for individuals with eating disorders, including CBT-E and related approaches
- Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments, risk assessments, and formulation of complex cases
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatry, dietetics, nursing, and support staff
- Offer consultation, supervision, and support to colleagues and partner services
- Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced therapist who:
- Holds a recognised CBT qualification (BABCP-accredited or accreditable)
- Has significant post-qualification experience delivering CBT in a clinical setting
- Has experience working with eating disorders or complex mental health presentations
- Demonstrates strong risk assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Is able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Is committed to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice

The Highland Eating Disorder Service provides specialist assessment and treatment for individuals with eating disorders across a large and diverse geographical area. We are a supportive and forward-thinking team committed to:
