The post holder will work as a Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist within psychological therapy & psychology services in CAMHS and across care pathways. They will provide a comprehensive, highly specialist CBT service to young people with complex difficulties for which CBT is clinically effective. This includes working with children & adolescents presenting with severe or treatmentresistant disorders and coexisting conditions. The role requires using a broad theoretical knowledge base to deliver specialist CBT assessments, formulations & skilled interventions. The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload under clinical & case management supervision. Offering consultation/guidance to other mental health professionals, treatment pathways & community colleagues, contribute to the development of CBT practice informed by advances in treatment, theory & research. Role requires inperson attendance at clinics, meetings, assessments & liaison with other professionals, including MDT forums such as STRAT or childinneed meetings. Some hybrid working may be available in line with LPTs flexible working agreement. Post holder must maintain highly specialist CBT knowledge & skills and hold BABCP accreditation. Working across language & cultural barriers, using interpreters when required & be committed to equal opportunities. Role involves working remotely when necessary, delivering care from bases, patients homes, in outdoors & LPT clincs.
