We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Band 8a Paediatric Spinal and Orthopaedic Physiotherapist with established spinal Musculo-skeletal skills to join our specialist Spinal Service at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
This post provides the opportunity to work at an advanced clinical level and join an existing Spinal and Orthopaedic Team. You will be responsible for providing expert physiotherapy assessments and work outside of the normal scope of physiotherapy to manage children and young people with complex spinal conditions, including scoliosis, spinal dysraphism and other congenital and acquired spinal pathologies. This work is primarily in the outpatient setting with some inpatient work.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside spinal Surgeons, Orthotists and Clinical Nurse Specialists delivering evidence-based, family centred care to children from across the UK and internationally.
We are a forward thinking and flexible team. Good communication skills and excellent team working abilities are essential for this post.
This is a unique opportunity to experience specialist services whilst being part of an established wider Physiotherapy and Spinal and Orthopaedic Team.
