
The post holder will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating care to patients within the orthopeadic ward. Ward 18 is a elective orthopeadic ward taking both day patients and over night hip and knee patients. The post holder will be a key part of the clinical team enabling the delivery of safe, compassionate and joined up.
The post holder will be able to play a key role in supporting the ward manager and clinical sister in providing high quality care to patients. They are able to communicate with patients and their families, keeping them up to date with their care plan.
They will work within the multi-disiplinary team, to ensure safe delivery of care

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
