We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our dynamic Maternity Education Team as a Clinical Practice Facilitator. Working alongside our established Clinical Practice Facilitator, you will play a vital role in delivering our education and training agenda, with a particular focus on supporting and enhancing the experience of our undergraduate midwifery students.
In this rewarding role, you will contribute to maintaining and continually improving high-quality clinical placements for students from our four partner Higher Education Institutions. You will ensure that learning environments consistently meet both Trust standards and NMC requirements, while fostering a positive, supportive, and enriching experience for all learners.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic midwife with relevant clinical and educational experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting others to learn and develop. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the maternity education team to support for both staff and learners.
As a Clinical Placement Facilitator, you will play a key role in supporting midwifery students and shaping high-quality practice learning experiences. You will lead on the planning and coordination of placements in partnership with Higher Education Institutions, ensuring students are placed in supportive, effective learning environments that meet Trust and NMC standards. You will contribute to developing the future workforce by training and supporting Practice Assessors, promoting excellent midwifery practice, and fostering a culture of continuous professional development across all staff levels. Working within the Maternity Education Team, you will support education and training initiatives, including Trust-wide development programmes and mandatory training.

- Evidence of significant experience in midwifery practice and leadership
- Experience in changing clinical practice

- Evidence of innovative practice that involves developing staff, teaching and assessing within the clinical area
