This exciting new role is ideal for a highly motivated and experienced clinical educator who has the capability, leadership skills and drive to lead the in-house education and development of the clinical workforce within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Division.
The primary purpose of this role is to support staff in delivering best practice care within clinical environments by developing and enhancing their clinical knowledge, skills and competencies. The post holder will be responsible for promoting high-quality clinical practice through the design, delivery and evaluation of evidence-based education, training and development programmes tailored to the needs of both services and service users.
Main duties of the job
As Lead Clinical Practice Educator, you will play a key role in supporting the development of clinical practice, education and workforce learning across the Division. Working in partnership with a team of Clinical Practice Educators, the Clinical Education Manager, Learning Environment Leads, Subject Matter Experts and Divisional Leaders, you will lead the development and delivery of high-quality in-house clinical education programmes that support the operational readiness and ongoing development of the 13 Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Essential
- Significant experience of working in a relevant clinical practice in a senior clinical role.
- Evidence of experience of developing and supporting clinical or pre-registration education Teaching and Mentoring experience.
- Team leader experience with a significant track record of achievement.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Experience in developing and leading education programs.
- Understanding quality improvement methodology and application.
Qualifications
Essential
- NMC as RMN or RNLD.
- Recognised clinical professional qualification in Mental Health or Learning Disability.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience/knowledge.
- Experience working in Mental health and/ or learning disability setting.
