If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.

This fixed term post provides a funded opportunity to either undertake the structured HEIW Post-Registration Foundation Pharmacist "model for support" development pathway for 18months, OR a distance learning clinical diploma for 24 months.

There may be potential for further learning opportunities alongside the HEIW accreditation including completion of a clinical diploma. Both these qualifications provide the foundation for excellent career development and a platform for professional and personal development.

To meet criteria for the HEIW foundation place you must have qualified in July 2026 or in January 2027.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will undertake a rotational clinical pharmacist role working closely with pharmacy colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.

You will be joining a team of experienced pharmacists and technicians and will be supported within a nurturing working environment to develop your career and undertake the prescribing qualification. You will be part of the exciting role out of EPMA supporting colleagues across the MDT as we embed digital systems within our practice.

You will be expected to undertake the role of responsible pharmacist and will be expected to undertake Emergency Duty Commitment (on-call), work weekends and Bank holidays as part of a rota.
