
Hello! My name is Beth and Im the team manager for Core Team West. Along with Steve, our psychological therapies clinical lead, we have a rare opportunity for an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist to join our service. The post is for 18.75 hours per week (0.5wte) and the successful applicant would work within the MDT.and be at the forefront in the delivery of evidence-based treatment to our service users, as well as undertaking psychological assessments and supporting in the development of the psychological therapies service. The post will require the successful applicant to be flexible and adaptable in covering the needs of our services and with their approach.
We work with services users aged 18-65 who have moderate to severe mental health issues. Referrals are made through several of our trust services. Our base is a community team hub which helps to provide flexibility, openness and ease for support and advice. The base is within a central location with amenities, transport links and parking easily accessible.

The post holder will provide specialist skills working within the multidisciplinary team. They will be responsible for undertaking assessments, ideally including neuropsychology assessment, provide treatment, completing the team duty role, offering clinical supervision as well as being able to work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies, managing and reviewing care plans in a collaborative and recovery focused manner.
They will also offer evidence based clinical decisions and treatment options, whilst working within professional guidelines, the framework of the service and whilst observing trust and national policies and procedures. The post holder will work autonomously.
The post-holder will need to liaise closely with different teams.
Clinical oversight of all work will be held by the clinical lead in the service. The post will be supported through regular formal supervision, appraisal and training and have close managerial and leadership support in working between teams. Support will include development opportunities, access to psychological networks, potential further training opportunities and the services have close links to local training courses.
