An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead Paediatric Occupational Therapist to work within our integrated Children's Therapies service based at the Child Development Centre, Airedale General Hospital . The post holder will deliver highly specialist clinical activity and provide clinical leadership to a small paediatric OT team , working closely together with the team leader for paediatric OT / PT, and supported by the Therapy services manager . They will also work closely with our Speech and Language therapists , other health and educational professionals and our therapy support team.
The service provides uni- professional and multidisciplinary occupational therapy for children and young people up to the age of 19 years . The post holder will contribute to quality improvement planning, implementation of service developments, and work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapy Professional lead , health and education colleagues both internally as well as across the wider Bradford and Craven Health and Care partnership and in regional forums.
A development post at Band 6/7 may be considered for the right candidate
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to provide a high standard of highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions working as an autonomous practitioner in the Children's Therapies services
They will provide clinical leadership and supervision for the paediatric OT team. They will give operational support and provide clinical expert knowledge to the team lead , Children's therapies service manager and other stakeholders relating to service development, statutory responsibilities and operational activities , both internally and in the wider system.

Qualifications

- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Relevant Masters/ Level 7 post graduate study
