Full-time  and Part Time Clinical Healthcare Support Workers - Experienced Opportunities

We are currently recruiting for  experienced Clinical Healthcare Support Workers   for ward 5B Vascular Unit

Successful applicants will be required to work the full range of shifts which will include days, long-days, nights and weekends on a rota basis.

Our Healthcare Support Workers deliver a key role that’s at the very heart of healthcare on our vascular unit .

It’s a hands-on-role, but also one of the most rewarding. We are a 25 bedded Vascular unit who  admit vascular cases from the Emergency department , day case and  intensive care unit delivering level one care  , we also take direct admissions and patients from other hospitals .  The workload is varied   as you also experience the rehabilitation aspect with our patients who are amputees .

Main duties of the job

Experienced Candidates - Clinical Healthcare Support Workers Band 3

For those with existing experience, we have opportunities for Band 3 Clinical Healthcare Support Workers, whose role will be to undertake a range of delegated clinical care duties, recording patient observations and progressing patients treatment plans within guidelines set. Clinical duties may include taking blood pressure, blood glucose monitoring, routine observations, wound observations and simple wound dressings, removal of peripheral cannulas and catheters.

Our Band 3 Clinical Healthcare Support Workers work without the need for direct supervision. Ongoing training and development will however be provided to ensure the enhanced clinical competencies have been achieved relevant to the ward/area of specialty.
