We are pleased to offer a clinical fellow post for 1 year in paediatrics. Depending on interest there are multiple specialities that could be available and will likely include general paediatrics, paediatric respiratory and paediatric neurology. Other specialties may become available over the year.
The post holder will be a vital part of the paediatric team, delivering high-quality clinical care to children and young people across a range of highly specialised.

The appointed fellows will be responsible for providing day-to-day inpatient and outpatient management of patients and will contribute to the tier 2 out of hours rota.

This appointment is subject to the TCS and any subsequent amendments. The post holder will be expected to be aware of, and comply with, all local policies and procedures, as well as adhere to the Trusts standing orders and standing financial instructions. All offers of employment are subject to satisfactory pre‑employment clearances.

Skills and Abilities
Essential
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Good communication skills

- Ability to work effectively within an MDT environment

- Ability to gain confidence of both staff and patients
- Willing to undertake additional clinical duties when necessary, including cover for colleagues on leave
Desirable
- Publications in peer reviewed journals
- Evidence of international or national presentations
- Evidence of teaching
Additional and Aptitudes
Essential
- IT skills on all Microsoft packages
- Fluent English speaker
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Able to assess, resuscitate and stabilise acutely sick patients.
- Good clinical judgement
- Understand Audit/governance processes
- 4+ years of paediatric experience
- Experience with paediatric Safeguarding
Desirable
- Experience on a registrar level rota
- GMC registration
- Experience with research
- UK paediatric experience
- Evidence of audit and quality improvement
Qualifications and Training
Essential
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- APLS/EPLS or equivalent
Desirable
- Registered with GMC (UK)
- GCP certification
