Applications are invited for the post of Senior Specialist Clinical Fellow (Senior Registrar) in the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Guys and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, with special interest in Digital Transformation.
The post is divided into two parts. 20% of the time the post holder will be expected to focus on digital transformation. The other 80% the post holder is required to work a full-on call rota delivering clinical care.

Main duties of the job
Our Maternity Unit delivers around 6600 women per year, with a mixture of general and specialist pathways being delivered antenatally and postnatally. We provide a comprehensive Gynaecology service, containing a dedicated Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynaecology Unit, a standalone Gynaecology Outpatient environment, and elective operating at St Thomas' and Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup.
We have an exceptional reputation for education with protected time for teaching and consultant led educational supervision, and excellent opportunities to develop skills in all areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (clinical, research, educational and service improvement leadership). Detailed job description and main responsibilities
A unique opportunity has arisen to join our highly trained and motivated doctors within our world renowned Obstetric & Gynaecology unit. Please note these are predominantly clinical Obstetric & Gynaecology roles (80%), including day and night on-calls, with 20% Digital Transformation time.
The post-holder will be encouraged to register for and to complete relevant RCOG SITMs. It will also be suitable for those who have completed RCOG SITMs and wish to maintain and further their skills in a tertiary centre with excellent facilities and infrastructure under renowned supervisors. Applicants for this job are expected to have an excellent grounding in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post-holder should have also completed the MRCOG Part 3 Exam and current experience of working at senior registrar level in the UK (ST6 equivalent). Applicants are expected to have current experience of working in the UK or an equivalent healthcare system (Ireland, Australia or New Zealand for example).

- Informal digital transformation experience
- Completion of all ST5 level competencies on the RCOG portfolio or working at senior registrar level
- Working in the UK for at least one year at ST5+ level
- Evidence of delivery of quality improvement projects

- Formal Digital Transformation experience
- Knowledge of electronic healthcare record system, Epic
Qualifications
