The post holder will need experience in completing assessments, running groups and delivering mental health interventions in person. They will be required to support and work collaboratively with our colleagues within the CMHT's along with and the other organisations and allied teams in our care group.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP) within the Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in King’s Lynn, you will work alongside the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team. The team is experienced, supportive, and committed to collaborative working, ensuring that your skills, ideas, and contributions are valued and encouraged.

Your role will include:

• Delivering psychological assessments, formulations, and evidence-based individual and group interventions for adults experiencing a range of complex mental health difficulties.
• Working closely with qualified Clinical Psychologists to support the development and delivery of psychological care pathways within the CMHT.
• Undertaking clinical work under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, in line with the CAP scope of practice.
• Contributing to multidisciplinary assessments, care planning, risk management, and formulation discussions.
• Supporting psychologically informed approaches across the team through consultation, collaboration, and shared learning.
