Cleaning and Catering Assistant

Job summary

The post holder is member of the facilities operational team and will be responsible for carrying out any duties commensurate with the grade of post. The role includes provision of catering, cleaning, portering, receptions, logistics and traffic management across any of the Trust sites. The role requires flexibility in approach to the duties required as these may alter throughout the course of a workday/week, however the post holder will have one primary role that they will orientate towards on a daily basis. High standards of quality will be expected to be delivered in line with Facilities/LTHT practices and policies.

Main duties of the job

The role requires attention to detail to maintain high cleaning standards, strong infection prevention awareness, proven reliability and punctuality, a compassionate approach when working around patients and families, effective teamworking skills, the ability to work independently, and good communication to clearly report issues and interact professionally with staff and patients.
