An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic and forward thinking multidisciplinary children's therapy team.

These posts gives an opportunity to work with children and young people who have complex communication needs with a focus on developing functional communication. Knowledge and experience in the field of AAC and complex needs/learning difficulties will be essential. There is an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills within the successful candidate's area of interest. There are significant opportunities for further development, training, CPD and liaison with the wider multi-disciplinary.

This opportunity enables the applicant to manage their caseload in an autonomous way, bringing innovation to the role within a supportive network.

This post is suitable for a therapist with experience in the specialism or as a developing specialist post (open to applicants in looking for, or in current, Band 5 positions).

Main duties of the job

The post holder should be able to demonstrate paediatric experience and have an in depth knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment and case load management. Experience within a broad range of clinical areas and experience of working with more complex cases within  social communication difficulties is desirable.
