Job overview

We are looking for band 5 Paediatric trained nurses or soon to qualify students to join our enthusiastic and friendly department. If you have a positive attitude to ensuring children receive the best possible care, we'd love to hear from you.

Working with us will provide you with a broad range of skills and experiences which will help in your career progression.

Following significant investment in our paediatric nurse staffing we are delighted to confirm that our newly agreed work force model aligns to RCN staffing recommendations for CYP including supernumerary nurse in charge.

This will enable you to be supported in practice and help you to provide quality care to your patients. You will also be supported to develop your knowledge and skills in providing acute paediatric care through our dedicated paediatric practice educator and preceptorship programme. Our workforce model will also flex to meet demands of the service over winter and summer by increasing the number of staff who can take annual leave over the summer months (March to September).

The post will involve nursing children on elective day case lists, acute inpatient admissions as well as children in our assessment area.
