The role:
Applications are invited for an enthusiastic Clinical Technologist who takes a lead role in the provision of a comprehensive nuclear medicine service across the North East sector of Glasgow based at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary site.The service provides state of the art SPECT-CT imaging, cell labelling, non-imaging, DXA and benign therapy administrations. As well as a large routine workload there is plenty of opportunity for service development and research.
The post holder will be expected to have a role in training of clinical technologists under the IPEM training scheme.
The post holder will be based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary but expected to work in the nuclear medicine departments across the sector (Stobhill Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary).
The successful applicant will have an excellent chance to work as part of a large and enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team.Glasgow has several outstanding museums and art galleries, is the home of Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet, as well as several internationally renowned orchestras. The city is within 30 minutes of the beautiful Loch Lomond area and an easy drive to several ski areas. The city is a perfect base for those interested in outdoor pursuits such as climbing, walking and mountain biking.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate evidence of experience in nuclear medicine or imaging. Applicants should ideally be registered with HCPC or RCT.
Visits to the Department and to meet other staff are strongly encouraged.
