We are seeking a highly motivated & experienced health or social care professional with adult secure/specialised women’s pathway experience to join the Quality and Commissioning Team, at the GM Provider Collaborative (PC). The Team holds commissioning & quality responsibility on behalf of the GM ICB/NHS England for adult secure & specialised mental health services across GM. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic commissioning environment, providing clinically informed support in line with the PC’s governance structure, to a complex, specialised programme. The successful candidate will ensure oversight for women’s secure and specialised pathways. As part of the role, the post holder will drive forwards the Women’s Secure Transformation Programme in line with local and national objectives. The post holder will act as a key contributor to the PC’s quality assurance arrangements, working closely with the Senior Case Manager and Head of Quality. The role also provides a link to a range of stakeholders across NHS organisations, independent sector providers and system partners. The successful candidate will require the ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, responsiveness, resilience, confidentiality & integrity. Based at Prestwich Hospital, offering a combination of office & remote working across the footprint & wider as required. Working hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, though some flexibility & out of hours visits may be needed..

Main duties of the job

- Aligned to the national Case Management function, provides expert women’s secure and specialised pathway oversight and quality assurance. - Build a combination of clinical expertise and technical skills to develop strong service delivery, pathway advice and service improvements for secure/specialised services. - Specialised informed experience to ensure effective pathway oversight - Ensure patients receiving a high-quality service, free from stigma, discrimination and harm, escalating quality concerns and supporting remedial actions - Effectively fulfil 6-8 weekly host and placing commissioner oversight responsibilities - Robust oversight of patient flow - Supporting strategic leads in capacity and demand planning - Support mandated mental health targets including national LD/A programme - Deliver provision of competent, confident and responsive Case Management function against the national Standard Operating Procedure. Noting the role requirements cover the GM secure and specialised population and whilst intended to focus primarily on women’s pathways, there may be cross cover when required for other aspects of the team - Ensure oversight and effective systems are in place to manage Exceptional Packages of Care (EPCs) - Support performance monitoring and achievement of targets - Ensure effective engagement with stakeholders, patients and carers
