Job overview

We have 5 Clinical Care Groups, each with a Care Group Director (CGD), who leads their Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This is a serious opportunity for an experienced senior leader to take up this role at a pivotal time. The Children’s Care Group delivers a wide range of high-quality physical and mental health services for children, young people, and their families across the Trust footprint.

The CGD holds day-to-day accountability for everything within the Care Group. This relies on a depth of experience; a candidate who is outcomes-focused, a data informed leader who strives to deliver on all the things the Trust are wanting to achieve.

All CGD are part of the Clinical Leadership Executive, which reports to the Board, informing Trust decision making.

Main duties of the job

The role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), who is accountable for the delivery of effective and safe clinical services (i.e. the Care groups). You will join four other established Care Group Directors; Deputy Chief Operating Officer and other members of the senior operational team.

The Care Group Director provides leadership to their clinical services which are Childrens Services across Rotherham, North Lincolnshire and Doncaster, alongside their SLT which constitutes three Care Group Clinical Directors and a Deputy Care Group Director.
