Main duties of the job
In the role of Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare, you will play a crucial part in supporting residents by delivering high standards of personal care. You will be expected to contribute fully to the care team, ensuring the continuity of services to residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents in their personal hygiene while maintaining their dignity, recognizing clinical risk areas such as weight loss or pressure sores, and acting courteously towards residents and their visitors. For this role, experience is not required as Avery offers robust induction and training programs. It's essential to have effective communication skills, initiative, and flexibility to adapt to various responsibilities at short notice. Work hours are from 19:00 PM to 07:30 AM.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
- Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
- Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
- Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
