We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to become part of the Stepping Hill Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Service. For this challenging and fulfilling role, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to provide comprehensive and efficient administrative support. The post holder will be accountable for day-to-day admin duties and will be required to cover a number of different roles.

Applications are invited from individuals who are motivated and committed with a willingness to learn and develop an understanding of administration in a busy NHS environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills who can work to deadlines and be able to work on their own initiative. The candidate will have an enquiring mind, excellent attention to detail and be flexible with their approach to problem solving.

Main duties of the job

  • To assist with administrative duties to support the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service.
  • To assist in the submission of highly confidential and sensitive information via various platforms.
  • To assist with the day-to day managing and bookings of appointments and telephone duties.
  • Complete a variety of administration duties i.e., photocopying, shredding, laminating, and managing various mailboxes.
  • Support clinical staff re: recording of accurate data on electronic systems.
  • Answering the telephone – internal/external, taking messages and action where appropriate.
  • Basic computer skills, including sending and receiving emails.
  • Processing referrals
  • Booking appointments
  • Prepare out-going mail ensuring all patient correspondence has the appropriate paperwork enclosed in the envelope.
  • Use initiative in reviewing emails and incoming mail and act where appropriate.
  • To support audit functions and data collection.
  • To undertake any other duties which are deemed appropriate to the grade when requested by manager.
