Job summary

Were seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our dynamic Echo team on a bank basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality care while enjoying variety across different clinic settings. This is a full-time role, working across our London clinics. While you may work across different sites, you will be based at the same clinic for the full day. You will work across our clinics in London, including; Stratford, Ealing, Islington, Edmonton, Golders Green, Waterloo & Hornchurch.

Main duties of the job

Perform and independently report adult transthoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE standards and local reporting guidelines. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and quality checked. Submit clear reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual and clinical requirements. Liaise with local hospitals and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals. Support smooth patient scheduling and maintain accurate information in patient systems.

Job responsibilities

Cardiac Physiologist, Echocardiographer- Bank, Nationwide

£350 per day

This role is aimed at an experienced BSE or equivalent Accredited Cardiac Physiologist specialising in Echocardiography, to perform and report adult trans thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum dataset and InHealth Echotech reporting guidelines.

What you will do:

You will make healthcare better for our patients by delivering a high standard Echocardiography service which is consistently safe and effective every day in a given region. You will demonstrate a commitment to improvement and development by supporting the daily audit and providing help and guidance to junior members of the team.

What you are responsible for:

  • Perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and InHealth Echotech reporting guidelines.
  • Demonstrate awareness of current developments in clinical practice and participate in training sessions including expansion of clinical skills as appropriate.
  • Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs.
  • Escalate any delays in reporting to Line Manager and Clinical Lead immediately.
  • Comply with the local Health and Safety site rules (including for emergency procedures) and key corporate policies including information governance.
  • Ensure a duty of care to patient confidentiality, dignity and safety is always maintained, that the clinical safety of patients is never compromised and that patients are fully aware of all clinical / reporting processes.
  • Liaise with GPs/relevant hospital departments for urgent clinical referrals.
  • Support the administration needs of senior management.
