As a Cardiac Physiologist at our Cambridge Hospital, you’ll hold either a BTEC ONC and HNC in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement, or a BSc in Clinical Science /Physiology (or equivalent). You’re currently registered with the RCCP as a Clinical Physiologist. Ideally, you’re also accredited with SCST and BSE. You’re flexible, motivated and a team player.

As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will:

• Perform, interpret and report adult Transthoracic Echocardiograms
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety and dignity at all times.
• Accurate record keeping using PACS, RIS
• Support consultants and the wider cardiology team in the diagnosis and management of their patients.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, professional standards and quality assurance requirements.
• Participate in service improvement initiatives and continuing professional development.

We are looking for an individual who:

• Holds a degree in Clinical Physiology, Healthcare Science (Cardiac Science) or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Is registered with an appropriate professional body such as RCCP, AHCS or equivalent
• Has accreditation with BSE
• Has experience in cardiac investigations and diagnostic testing.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is patient-focused, organised and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Shows commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Knowledge of current cardiac physiology standards and best practice.
