Essential
- • Advanced practical knowledge of working in the community, in family hubs, and with the extended professional network
- • Knowledge of psychological theories of childhood development and an understanding of implication for clinical activity.
- • Knowledge of recent legislation and its implications for both clinical practice and professional management and mental health in relation to children and their families.
Desirable
- • Advanced practical knowledge in area of children under five and their physical and emotional development
Experience
Essential
- • Experience of working in a CAMHS setting
- • Experience of working in a community setting
- • Experience of working with parents/carers and their infants and/or young children
- • Experience of working with brief models with children under five and their parents/carers
Desirable
- • Leadership experience
- • Experience of working with patients where English is not their first language
Qualifications
Essential
- • Qualified as Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist
- • Infant Mental Health training
Desirable
- • Specialism in psycho-dynamics of Parent-Infant Relationships (PAIR) or PIP (Parent Infant Psychotherapy
- • Postgraduate Diploma/MA in Psychoanalytical Observational Studies and/or Clinical Doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy)
- • Registered member of ACP
- • Parent-infant/young child therapeutic modalities (individual and group)
